A World Broken by the Fear of Being Forgotten

On Velora, death was never the true ending.

Death meant returning to the living pattern of the planet. But to be forgotten, to have your name, story or place in the world erased, was something far worse.

Over time, that fear became dangerous.

The Velorans began trying to control memory itself. They gathered names before they were ready. They built relics that could command echoes, preserve grief and pull truth from places that had chosen silence.

In trying to save everything, they nearly destroyed themselves.

This rupture became known as The Great Wounding.
